On Sunday, the Philadelphia Union return to MLS league play fresh off their elimination from the 2026 edition of Leagues Cup as they head to the Bronx to face New York City Football Club at Yankee Stadium at 6:00pm.

Places to Visit

Founded in 1914 with a population of over 1,350,000 people, the Bronx has a vibrant culture of art and music offering lots for people to explore during their travels. It is also widely regarded as the birthplaces of hip-hop and salsa music culture as well.

With that said, let’s look at a few places to check out while in town.

The Bronx Little Italy

Located on Arthur Avenue in the Belmont neighborhood, Little Italy in the Bronx offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and specialty stores and is considered by some to be the real Little Italy of New York.

Bronx Zoo

Opening in 1899, the zoo features historic, Beaux-Arts architecture, such as the landmarks Astor Court and the Rainey Memorial Gates. It is known for its world class immersive exhibits recreating animals in their natural habitat and global conservation leadership. This is definitely a zoo you want to check out.

New York Botanical Garden 

Spanning 250 acres in the heart of urban density, the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx operates less like a typical city park and more like a living, breathing garden captured in time.

The Bronx Museum of the Arts

The museum actively reflects the cultural dynamic of the Bronx borough, highlighting local themes, hip-hop history, street photography, and urban life through its permanent collection of over 1,800 works and rotating exhibitions.

Places to Eat and Drink

Bronx food culture is defined by deep neighborhood roots, multigenerational family businesses, and a continuous influx of global flavors.

Stan’s Sports Bar

It is a well known spot for gathering before and after New York Yankees home games, offering drinks and a game-day environment for fans.

A long standing diner and delicatessen located near Yankee Stadium and the Bronx County Courthouse in the Bronx, New York. It is well known for serving generous portions of classic comfort food and traditional deli staples in a relaxed, casual setting.
