Philadelphia Union homegrowns Cavan Sullivan and Neil Pierre have been named to the US Men’s National Team roster by head coach Mauricio Pochettino as the squad gets set for their first official competitions of the 2030 FIFA World Cup cycle. The USMNT will play Haiti in a two-leg Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinal, likely pitting the two young men against their Union teammate, Danley Jean Jacques.
The first match will take place at Nu Stadium in Miami on November 14 (4:30 PM), followed by the second leg at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati on November 17 (7:30 PM). The matches can be viewed on TBS, truTV, Universo, HBO Max, and Peacock. They will be available on radio via Westwood One and Fútbol de Primera.

For Sullivan, 17, and Pierre, 19, it is their second camp at the senior level after making their debuts in the friendly against Peru on September 26. Sullivan has three caps and one goal, which came against Mexico on October 3. In doing so, he became the youngest goal scorer in USMNT history at 17 years, five days. Pierre, who also holds Haitian citizenship as both his parents came from Port-au-Prince, has three caps.
The USMNT is seeking their fourth Concacaf Nations League title after winning three times since it began in 2021. Pochettino said in US Soccer’s press release, “We are excited to bring this group together at the beginning of our journey in this important competition. These players have earned the opportunity to compete and help achieve our main objective, which is to win and advance in the tournament.”
